We were recently contacted by a Client who required a PRC certificate Swansea. He was selling his repaired Cornish unit type 1 and the buyers mortgage lender required a PRC certificate before they would approve the mortgage.
The Cornish unit was repaired by the Local Authority nearly 30 years ago and at the time of the repair a PRC certificate was never issued. The Client purchased the property 10 years ago with a mortgage, at the time the lender never asked for a PRC certificate which is a common situation as mortgages were easier to arrange before the credit crunch.
An inspection of the property by a PRC Engineer was arranged last week and confirmed the Cornish unit was repaired to a PRC Homes Ltd approved repair scheme. A retrospective PRC certificate has now been issued and the completion of the sale can now happen.
